Lisbon

Portugal’s capital was built on seven hills - just like Rome. Passing the streets of Lisbon’s lower town, which are laid out in a grid pattern, you reach the mouth of the river Tejo where the Atlantic Ocean is palpably close. But there is even more to discover: The white houses and the red tile roofs, the narrow alleys of the Baixa (the old city), the famous old trams which go up and down the steep hills, the Castello which sits enthroned above the city and last but not least the architecturally attractive Expo area of 1998 in today’s Park of the Nations. After numerous adventures and sights during daytime in this vivid city you will find yourself enjoying the Portuguese spirit in a Fado-restaurant in the evening.
